Main topics of the academy:

• Climate change and global justice: what are the origins and consequences of climate change –for us and people in other countries?

• Environmental connections: e.g. how trees reduce CO2 amount in the atmosphere…

• Forestry and reforestation: What does a healthy forest need, how fast do trees grow…?

• Publicity and motivation methods: what can I do? How can I reach my friends, school, city…?

One day academy:

Module 1: Introduction & get to know each other activities (2h)

Welcome & game to get to know the other children, climate ambassador´s speech and discussion.  

Module 2: climate crisis and global justice  (1h)
By games and simulations you can experience the connections of the climate crisis.

Module 3: plantation(1-2h)
Film „The man who planted Trees“. Together with the local forester we plant trees in the surroundings, as an alternative a symbolic plantation and a planting promise take place. 

 
Module 4: Rhetoric (1,5h)
We learn to make speeches to convince others of the importance of the topic.

Modul 5: World Café (1h)
Together in small groups we work out concrete action steps for our school and for our city.

Module 6: Evening activity: presentation to the adults (1h)
We present our ideas for actions, announce our tree goal and speak with the adults about the problems and solutions for our future. Certificate award and formation packets distribution.
